Located just offshore from Port Campbell, The Arches Marine Sanctuary is a protected marine area renowned for its dramatic limestone formations and vibrant marine life. Key Features
Diving & Snorkelling

When sea conditions permit, The Arches becomes a spectacular dive site. Divers can explore underwater arches, tunnels, and caverns teeming with colourful invertebrates, sponges, and various fish species. The sanctuary is also known for sightings of Port Jackson Sharks resting under ledges during the day.

Gibson Steps & Beach Walk

Descend 86 steps to reach the beach, where you can enjoy a 2.6km walk along the shoreline. This area is ideal for watching surfers, observing seabirds, and getting up close to the Gog and Magog rock stacks, especially at low tide.

Please note: Gibson Steps beach access has been temporarily closed due to recent geological movement. Geological assessments and remediation works have commenced. The site will reopen once the hazard has been removed and visitor safety is assured.

Twelve Apostles Overlook Trail

A 1.1km trail leading to a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the Twelve Apostles. It's a popular spot for photography and birdwatching, with some islands serving as breeding habitats for seabirds
