To ensure public safety the road is managed as a dry weather road and will re-open when the surface dries out, this typically occurs in mid to late November. Closure signage will be installed on a gate at the start of the gravel section. Pedestrian and bicycle access is available from either Pt Impossible Surf Beach at Minya Lane or from the Torquay end of the Esplanade.
