Jamieson Creek Campground

Located just off the Great Ocean Road near Glenaire, Johanna Beach Campground is a drive-in site set behind coastal dunes and open grassland. It provides direct access to Johanna Beach, a well-known surf beach with more exposed conditions than other parts of the coast.

Campsites

24 Unpowered campsites, accommodating up to 6 people each, suitable for:

  • Sites 10–19: no direct vehicle access, tents only
  • Sites 4 and 7: suitable for caravans
  • All other sites: tents, camper trailers and campervans

A central carpark is located close to the campground.

Bookings and payment are required year-round.

Walking tracks

The Jamieson Creek Walking Track:

  • 5.5 km one way
  • Undulating track with staircases and creek crossings
  • Connects to Wye River
  • Includes elevated viewpoints toward the Southern Ocean

Need to know

  • Fires permitted only in shared fireplaces (not on Total Fire Ban days)
  • Fuel stoves or gas barbecues can be used for cooking
  • Bring your own firewood

Getting there

Jamieson Creek Campground is approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Melbourne.

Follow the Great Ocean Road and turn onto Jamieson Track. The campground is accessible by 2WD.
