The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is responsible for protecting and managing one of Australia’s most iconic coastal landscapes. We care for parks, reserves and marine environments along the Great Ocean Road, including internationally recognised visitor sites. About the role
The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is seeking a customer-focused and organised Caravan Park Customer Service Officer to join our Accommodation Services Team at Torquay Foreshore Caravan Park.
As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding customer experiences while supporting the day-to-day operations of one of Victoria's most iconic coastal destinations. You will assist guests with bookings and enquiries, provide reception support, and ensure visitors enjoy a welcoming, professional and enjoyable stay.

What you'll do
- Manage accommodation reservations through the RMS booking system via phone, email, online platforms and in person.
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional front-of-house reception services.
- Respond to customer enquiries and correspondence promptly and effectively.
- Assist with customer concerns, maintenance requests and general guest needs.
- Process payments and cash transactions while maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare daily banking and administrative reports.
- Escalate customer issues to management as required.
- Provide local information and support to enhance the visitor experience.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and the smooth operation of the caravan park.
What we're looking for
- Experience in customer service, administration, hospitality, tourism, retail or a similar front-of-house environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Confidence using computer systems and administrative software.
- Experience using RMS booking software will be highly regarded.
You will also be able to meet the employment requirements of the role, including holding a current Australian Driver's Licence, providing evidence of Australian work rights, obtaining a Working with Children Check, and completing a National Police Check.
