Meet Andre Smaniotto, our new General Manager down at the Visitor Centre.
Andre brings more than 30 years of international hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, and operational leadership experience to one of Victoria’s most iconic destinations.
Originally trained in France, Andre’s career has taken him across Europe, Tahiti, and Australia, where he has led large-scale hospitality and tourism operations, major venue openings, and high-performing teams across luxury resorts, stadiums, visitor attractions, hotels, and culinary institutions.
As GM, Andre will oversee management of the new world-class visitor experience. His role includes leadership across visitor services, food and beverage operations, tourism experience delivery, stakeholder engagement, team development, and operational planning for the precinct.
Andre said he is excited to be part of a project that will showcase the Great Ocean Road region to visitors from around the world while creating long-term benefits for local communities and tourism operators.
“The Twelve Apostles is one of Australia’s most recognised natural destinations, and it is a privilege to help shape the future visitor experience for this remarkable region.
This project represents an incredible opportunity to create a sustainable, world-class destination experience that celebrates the landscape, culture, community, and tourism offering of the Great Ocean Road.”
Andre is passionate about building strong local relationships and supporting regional economic growth through tourism, hospitality, and visitor experience excellence.
