Horse riding is a popular recreational activity along the coast and there are many areas where riders can enjoy the region and observe its beauty.
Permits are available for recreational horse riding on Fairhaven, Airey's Inlet and Whites Beach in Torquay.
Horse Riding Permit Areas
Please ensure you clean up after your horse and follow all regulatory signage, ensuring you strictly abide by horse-riding Inclusions zones.
It is necessary to familiarise yourself with map of horse rising zones contained in your permit prior to horse riding.
Failure to do so may lead to cancelation of permit.

Horse training on coastal reserves is not permitted by law.

You will receive a horse riding permit number - please keep this with you /remember this number for when Rangers request it on the spot.
