An exciting opportunity is now open for hospitality operators looking to make their mark on one of Australia’s most iconic coastal locations. The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to lease and operate the beloved Lorne Swing Bridge Café.
Located at the mouth of the Erskine River with sweeping views across Louttit Bay, the Lorne Swing Bridge Café is a much-loved institution for locals and visitors alike. The Authority is offering a 15-year lease for the site, giving the right operator the chance to bring new energy and ideas to this landmark location.
To ensure applicants understand the site and its unique potential, attendance at one in-person briefing is mandatory. These briefings will take place onsite at the Lorne Swing Bridge Café on the following dates:
- 5 pm, Wednesday 16 July
- 5 pm, Friday 25 July
- 5 pm, Wednesday 30 July
Interested parties must register for their preferred briefing session through the Tenders Victoria Portal.
EOI applications close at 5 pm on Friday 8 August 2025.
The Authority encourages all interested and suitably experienced parties to apply and be part of shaping the next chapter for this iconic coastal café.
