Tourism is a major economic contributor to the Great Ocean Road region and we recognise the vital role that positive promotion through advertising, film and television can play in supporting the industry.

For that reason, we actively welcome and support those wishing to film in the area. Fees are set at a minimum to encourage promotion of the region through these mediums; however, conditions do apply.

Non-commercial filming for schools and registered community groups will not be charged but do require a permit.

Please fill out your details in the form below and allow a minimum of 15 days for your application to be processed prior to day one of filming.

Drone Usage in National Parks Land Parcels: (Including 12 Apostles)

Recreational drone use is not allowed in National Park areas. Commercial drone operations require an approved permit.
Visit Land We Manage Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority to check GORCAPA Managed Land areas.

***Please note that all Commercial Content Creators and influencers must submit a permit application. GORCAPA charges daily permit fees for commercial filming and brand-aligned or promotional photography on Crown land. Because influencer content is used for brand promotion, ads, or sponsored material it is classed as commercial activity, and falls under GORCAPA's commercial fee structure
