About the Role
The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA) is seeking a motivated and experienced Caravan Park Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Marengo Family Caravan Park.
Reporting to Caravan Park Management, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day housekeeping operations of the park, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction are maintained across accommodation, amenities and communal facilities.
This is a hands-on role that combines team leadership, operational coordination and customer service in one of Victoria's most picturesque coastal destinations.
What You'll Do
- Lead, support and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure exceptional cleaning standards are consistently achieved.
- Coordinate daily cleaning activities across cabins, amenity blocks, laundries, offices, kitchens and other park facilities.
- Assist with the preparation of staff rosters to meet operational and seasonal demands.
- Support the management of housekeeping inventory, including linen, amenities, chemicals and cleaning supplies.
- Assist in developing and implementing daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal cleaning schedules.
- Undertake cleaning duties as required, including vacuuming, mopping, laundering, bed making and waste management.
- Respond professionally to guest enquiries, feedback and complaints, escalating issues where required.
- Ensure the safe handling and storage of cleaning products and equipment.
- Maintain accurate communication with management regarding operational and customer-related matters.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience supervising staff within a housekeeping, accommodation, hospitality, aged care or similar environment.
- Strong practical cleaning skills and experience maintaining high presentation standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience with manual handling practices and the safe use of cleaning chemicals (desirable).
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable).
Mandatory requirements:
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Ability to obtain or hold a Working with Children Check.
- Ability to provide a National Police Check.
- Evidence of Australian working rights.
