Summer access restored at Torquay Surf Life Saving Club

Beach access at Torquay Surf Life Saving Club has received a timely boost ahead of the summer season, with a brand-new beach access ramp now in place and ready to use.

The ramp improves access from the club down to the sand, making beach days easier for locals, surf lifesavers and visitors alike as numbers build over the warmer months. While a few minor tidy-ups will continue around the site, the new access is open and operational.

Stairs repaired and reopened

The beach access stairs east of the club have also been fully repaired and reopened. As a key entry point to Torquay’s surf beach, their return restores direct shoreline access for the community and visiting beachgoers.
