The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is responsible for protecting and managing one of Australia’s most iconic coastal landscapes. We care for parks, reserves and marine environments along the Great Ocean Road, including internationally recognised visitor sites. Working closely with Traditional Owners, communities and stakeholders, we protect environmental, cultural and heritage values while supporting sustainable visitation and long‑term conservation.

We're looking for an experienced and proactive ICT Coordinator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis in Torquay.

Reporting to the ICT Manager, this pivotal role ensures that technology across the organisation is secure, reliable and aligned with strategic objectives. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing ICT systems, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support day-to-day operations and drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

In this diverse and hands-on role, you will:

  • Support the implementation of ICT strategies and initiatives across the organisation
  • Ensure the effective operation, security and availability of ICT systems and infrastructure
  • Manage and collaborate with outsourced ICT service providers and application partners
  • Provide technical advice and support to the Management Team on systems, infrastructure and process improvements
  • Oversee the lifecycle of ICT equipment, including procurement and upgrades
  • Lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to maintain operational efficiency
  • Deliver user support, training and onboarding to ensure staff effectively utilise systems and technology
  • Identify opportunities for ICT innovation and continuous improvement aligned with strategic priorities
  • Contribute to the development of ICT policies, procedures and documentation
  • Support and deliver ICT projects, including system enhancements and new technology implementations

What We’re Looking For

You will be a collaborative and solutions-focused ICT professional with strong technical expertise and a commitment to service excellence.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and at least 5+ years’ experience in ICT roles
  • Strong experience in network design, configuration and management (e.g. subnets, VLANs)
  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards such as Essential 8, VPDSS and ITIL
  • Advanced experience with the Microsoft ecosystem, including:
    • Microsoft 365, Intune, MDM, Autopilot
    • Defender and Purview
    • Azure Active Directory (Entra), SSO and SAML
  • Experience with CRM systems and SharePoint administration
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external providers

Additional requirements:

  • National Police Check, Working with Children Check and Australian work rights
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Availability to participate in an on-call roster and travel across GORCAPA-managed locations as required
