The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (the Authority) hosted a community information session in Lorne on Monday 22 May to share information about the proposed lease negotiations for the Lorne Pool Precinct.

The session was well attended, with approximately 70 residents gathering to ask questions and learn more about the proposal.

Authority representatives in attendance included Jodie Sizer (CEO), Andy Mathers (Director of Commercial & Tourism), Paul Rogasch (Manager of Tourism & Business Development), Brigid Isaacs (Manager of Community Engagement), Brendan Parker (Manager of Accommodation Services), Glenn Nott (Lease, Licence and Events Coordinator) and Kate Wynn (Community Engagement Coordinator).

The session follows on from a recent online webinar that took place on Wednesday 26 April, which included a presentation of the precinct development proposal and an opportunity for community to ask questions. The webinar was attended online by 32 people.

In response to feedback provided through the webinar, we expanded the community feedback period until 16 June to encourage people to find out more and have a say.

We also placed a leasing notice in two publications, the Surf Coast Times and the Geelong Advertiser on 24 and 25 March 2023 respectively, inviting public feedback on the proposed lease negotiations.

To provide feedback on the proposed lease please email

Or write to Paul Rogasch, Manager of Tourism and Business Development at PO Box 53, Torquay, Victoria, 3228.

The community feedback period concludes on 16 June.
