Summer hits the Great Ocean Road Coastline

Our Foreshore Rangers have been out and about helping to ensure everyone enjoys their summer on the coast. From event set up and site restoration, litter collection, cliff monitoring, keeping all those green outdoor spaces in top condition and safety and maintenance tasks the team are busy keeping things running smoothly. We use Step Up Days during fine weather to allocate additional rangers and litter collections to manage the influx of visitors.  

Our Foreshore and Conservation Rangers complete Share our Shore’s patrols with Surf Coast Shire to educate our community about responsible pet ownership, safety, litter and other environmental issues such as staying outside of our dune conservation areas. Most visitors have left only footsteps but we remind our community to pick up after their pet and take rubbish home if bins are not provided or full.
