Environmental Education Programs

Great Ocean Road Coast Parks Authority Environmental Education Program artefacts

With the understanding that each school, student group and educational facility has different requirements, we create education programs that are flexible and can cater to varying student abilities and environmental understanding.

We consider:

Session type

From individual activities to programs running over multiple weeks, a term, or even a year; our team will work with you to create a syllabus that best meets the needs of your students.

Times and duration

We understand that different groups will have varying time constraints and needs. With flexibility in session delivery times and session length, our staff will discuss the best time and duration for your group during the planning process.

Sessions are adaptable and will be created to specifically suit the age and curriculum of your group.

Location

Our management area stretches from Point Impossible in Torquay to Elliot River in Marengo and is rich with various habitats and environments, each providing unique educational opportunities for students.

The Environmental Education Team will work with you to choose the most suitable location for your group, considering your unique requirements such as distance to travel or subject focus.

All programs will receive free pre and post activity resources to help prepare students prior to their session and extend their learning after their time with us.

Staff Qualifications

All Great Ocean Road Authority Environmental Education leaders and Authority staff possess current Working with Children cards and/or equivalent current VIT registration, as per the Victorian Working with Children Act 2005.
