Visitors to Coogoorah Park in Anglesea will notice some fresh improvements thanks to recent maintenance works carried out by the GORCAPA's Eastern Coastal Operations team.

The team spent a full day in the park, repairing bridges and handrails, re-surfacing walking tracks, mowing, pruning and carrying out minor fence and retaining wall repairs.

These works have helped improve safety, accessibility and the overall look and feel of the park.

Coogoorah Park is one of Anglesea’s most popular open spaces, with its network of walking trails, wetlands and picnic areas making it a favourite spot for families, walkers and nature-lovers. Regular maintenance ensures the park remains safe, functional and welcoming for all who visit.

“These kinds of works might not always be obvious at first glance, but they make a big difference for everyone who comes to enjoy the park,” said GORCAPA Coastal Operations Manager, Caleb Hurrell.

“It’s about keeping the area safe and accessible while also looking after the natural setting that makes Coogoorah Park so special.”

The upgrades will benefit the thousands of locals and visitors who use the park throughout the year.

So next time you’re in Anglesea, swing through Coogoorah Park and check out the improvements for yourself.
