Resurfacing works are underway on a section of the Surf Coast Walk between Darian Road and Fishermans Beach car park, helping improve drainage and reduce puddling along the popular coastal path.

Crews are adding fresh gravel and reinstating the natural camber of the path, allowing rainwater to run off more easily after wet weather.

The works are expected to take around two days to complete, with heavy machinery operating in the area.

Temporary pedestrian detours will be in place while the works are underway, and visitors are asked to follow signage and take care around crews.

The resurfacing forms part of a broader run of improvements planned for the Torquay foreshore over the coming months, including the continuation of the Torquay Tree Replacement program.

The works are focused on practical upgrades that make the area safer, more accessible and more enjoyable for locals and visitors using one of Torquay’s best-loved coastal stretches.
