Allenvale Campground

Located on the banks of the St George River just beyond Lorne, Allenvale Campground provides access to nearby walking trails and the surrounding bush.

Platypus are known to inhabit the St George River and may be seen at dawn and dusk.

Campsites

20 Unpowered campsites, accommodating up to 6 people each, suitable for tents only.

There is no direct vehicle access to campsites. A carpark is located approximately 230 metres away.

Bookings and payment are required year-round.

Facilities

  • Non-flush toilets
  • Low picnic tables and seating
  • Shelters

There are no fireplaces. Fires are not permitted.

  • Walk-in access from nearby carpark
  • River setting alongside the St George River
  • Access to walking tracks in the surrounding area.

Allenvale Campground is located just beyond Lorne off Allenvale Road, approximately a two-hour drive from Melbourne.
