School use of foreshore areas

Schools_Header.jpg

The Authority is committed to assisting schools in furthering the educational opportunities for all students.  In order to achieve this commitment, we provide all schools access to the foreshore and beach areas within our remit, enabling them to hold curriculum related activities  at no cost.

So that we can monitor the groups using the foreshore and beach areas we ask that a School Usage Booking is made, this information is also used to inform future planning such as requirements for infrastructure and services.

Our aim is to make this a straightforward process. If you have already collated information on the planned activity, please feel free to simply email a copy to permits@greatoceanroadauthority.vic.gov.au.

Otherwise, you can fill in the booking form here

School Usage Bookings cover:

  • Activities held during the school term on a weekday
  • Activities related to the school’s curriculum
  • Activities which are ‘one off’
  • The applicant is a registered school, or approved Victorian Government Kinder program (Kinder Tick), and the activity is managed by an employee of the school

If the proposed activity is be held on a weekend, is being managed by a third party, or is outside of the listed above, please fill out an applicant for a general permit here:

The Authority also runs a number of educational programs along the coast which can be access by school groups. You can find more information about these here:
