The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is responsible for protecting and managing one of Australia’s most iconic coastal landscapes. We care for parks, reserves and marine environments along the Great Ocean Road, including internationally recognised visitor sites. Working closely with Traditional Owners, communities and stakeholders, we protect environmental, cultural and heritage values while supporting sustainable visitation and long‑term conservation.
About the role
The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA) is seeking two Caravan Park Attendants to join our Accommodation Services team. Both positions will be based across the Princetown Recreation Reserve and Port Campbell Recreation Reserve, supporting the day-to-day operation of these popular coastal visitor destinations.
This is a hands-on, varied role suited to people who enjoy working with customers, take pride in maintaining high presentation standards, and are willing to roll up their sleeves to help wherever needed. No two days are the same, with duties spanning customer service, cleaning, grounds maintenance and general upkeep of park facilities.
As part of Australia's largest accommodation provider along the Great Ocean Road, you'll play an important role in creating exceptional visitor experiences in some of Victoria's most spectacular coastal locations.
What you'll do
As a Caravan Park Attendant, you'll contribute to the smooth operation of both parks by:
- Providing friendly and professional customer service to guests in person, over the phone and via email.
- Assisting with bookings, enquiries and reservations using our booking systems.
- Supporting guests throughout their stay and helping resolve customer concerns.
- Cleaning cabins, amenities blocks, kitchens, offices and other shared facilities to a high standard.
- Maintaining grounds through activities such as mowing, pruning, weeding, mulching and general landscaping.
- Undertaking general maintenance and handyman tasks, including minor repairs and painting.
- Assisting with rubbish removal, stock handling and maintaining the overall presentation of the parks.
- Working collaboratively with the broader Accommodation Services team to deliver safe, welcoming and enjoyable visitor experiences.
What we're looking for
We're looking for adaptable, customer-focused team members who enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor work.
You'll bring:
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, tourism, retail or a similar environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to assist across a variety of duties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Practical experience in cleaning, grounds maintenance, general maintenance, or a combination of these areas.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering excellent service.
The following would be advantageous:
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience using RMS or similar booking systems.
- Experience with safe manual handling practices and chemical use.
Applicants must hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and be able to obtain the required pre-employment checks.
Why join us:
- Two casual opportunities based across Princetown Recreation Reserve and Port Campbell Recreation Reserve.
- Work in some of Victoria's most iconic coastal locations along the Great Ocean Road.
- Be part of a supportive and collaborative Accommodation Services team.
- Enjoy a diverse role that combines customer service, cleaning, grounds and maintenance duties.
- Help create memorable experiences for thousands of visitors each year.
- Flexible rostered work, including weekends, public holidays and peak holiday periods.
If you're passionate about customer service, enjoy practical hands-on work and want to be part of a team that helps showcase the best of the Great Ocean Road, we'd love to hear from you.
