Today marks another key step forward for the Point Grey Redevelopment as the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority reignites community engagement with the launch of a Community Values Survey.

With a rich history of engagement spanning 25 years, Point Grey holds immense importance for locals and visitors alike.

Securing community confirmation of local and visitor values for the site is a crucial next step to help shape a revised proposal.

The first round of broad community engagement is a short, simple survey designed to reaffirm what local community members and visitors have expressed about Point Grey over many years and to understand any changes in community sentiment.

The survey will run from Friday 8 March to Friday 5 April and is now available on our Have Your Say website.

All community feedback will be used to inform the next phase of the project, along with information collected in association with environmental, cultural and financial values.

Next steps will involve the Community Reference Group and key stakeholders, who will shortly participate in project workshops to learn more about the site’s opportunities and constraints.

This work will help to inform an updated draft Masterplan for Point Grey, with the subsequent draft being made available for broader community feedback.

Masterplanning will also involve a thorough analysis of critical factors such as assessing carrying capacity, environmental values, public safety, local coastal adaptation planning processes, and compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

We look forward to presenting a draft Masterplan to the community in mid 2024.
