Moggs Creek

The Moggs Creek boardwalk and bridge with a view out to the ocean.

Located just steps away from Fairhaven, Moggs Creek is a peaceful and stunning part of the Great Otway National Park. The Moggs Creek foreshore area offers fantastic views of the iconic Split Point Lighthouse and long stretches of sandy beach. Perfect for sunrise strolls and ocean fishing, Moggs Creek is a little-known haven for locals.

Moggs Creek is one of the places the Hooded Plover calls home. With one of the lowest survival rates from egg to adult of any species, this breeding zone is an important habitat for the ‘Hoodies’. This is a dog-friendly beach; however, we ask that all dogs be kept on a lead during breeding season (August-March) to protect the local birds.
