Jan Juc

Jan Juc, nestled between Torquay and the world-famous Bells Beach, is well known for its laid-back vibe, high cliffs and ocean swell.

The Jan Juc Surf Beach offers ample car parking and easy access, and the Jan Juc Surf Lifesaving Club patrols Wednesday to Sunday during the peak summer period. Due to its combination of fine sand and strong currents, this beach is suited for experienced swimmers only.

This quiet coastal hamlet is ideal for those wanting to escape the crowds that converge in neighbouring Anglesea and Torquay. With holiday homes nestled between bushland and parks, it is the perfect place to unwind and really take a break.

Please note:

Several cliff areas in and around Jan Juc are susceptible to naturally occurring instability. Following recent cliff failures, we are urging all coastal users to remain on designated tracks and not walk or sit underneath cliffs.

Landslips are unpredictable and the size of material that falls onto the beach can be very large, with rocks and debris a potentially fatal hazard. We urge everyone to adhere to signage and safety warnings in place and continue safely enjoying our beautiful and dramatic coast.
